Motion Designer

As a Motion Designer, it’s your job to apply your passion for animation to simplify complex interactions and solve challenging design problems.

In this role, you’ll help define and implement Google’s motion design language across all platforms — this includes driving the creation of best practices, collaborating with visual and interaction designers, and working with other product teams.

Q: What did you do before joining Google?
A: I was a student and a freelance motion designer.

Q: What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on at Google?
A: I was pretty excited to work on the Project Glass concept video and other projects that envision the future of technology.

Q: What excites you most about working at Google?
A: You get to meet and work with fun, smart, talented people. That's pretty amazing.

Q: What advice would you have for designers?
A: Know what you can do the best, and what you want to do the most. Combine those two, and you'll be strong!

Q: What does it mean to be Googley?
A: Enjoy yourself, have fun with the people around you, and care about the user.
