Sara Hendren is an artist, design researcher, and professor based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her work centers on adaptive and assistive technologies, prosthetics, inclusive design, and accessible architecture.

Hendren is a cofounder of the Accessible Icon Project.

Her most recent work, Slope : Intercept, focuses on the design of inclined planes for wheelchair users and skateboarders.

Hendren was recently named an Eric & Wendy Schmidt Fellow at New America and a Public Scholar with the National Endowment for the Humanities.
